Website Purpose
I created this website to document my projects and hobbies. If someone were to look at my resume, they may understand what I’ve done but not who I am. Here, I have a chance to show my passions and interests, and I can show that through the time I spend outside of work. Feel free to contact me through the form on this website or at macaveney@gmail.com.
About Me
I’m from Johnson City, TN. Growing up, my two main hobbies were soccer and violin. In school, I focused on the math and science courses, as they were the most interesting to me. I graduated from Science Hill High School in 2016 and went to Georgia Tech to study electrical engineering.
During my time at Tech, I played on the club soccer team and was Vice President. I mostly focused school and soccer while getting to know Atlanta. I also picked up rock climbing, and while my arms have not developed any muscle from 20 years of soccer, I thoroughly enjoy the challenge. I then travelled to Germany for six months to take classes in German at the Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule to develop skills in another language and learn about different cultures.
After travelling, I finished my last two years at Tech and graduated in December 2020, focusing more on my technical coursework. I currently work at the Georgia Tech Research Institute, focusing on digital design. In my free time I climb, play soccer, play violin, try new things, and do fun side projects such as making a robot dog as a companion. Thanks for visiting my website!
